Job Description

Galarneau Builders, Inc. is a custom home builder specializing in new single-family construction and residential renovation / addition projects. For over 46 years, we've been committed to delivering exceptional customer service and superior craftsmanship throughout the greater Saratoga Springs and Lake George region. Our mission is to create lasting client relationships through quality construction practices and clear and honest communication. We are seeking an experienced Client Selections Coordinator to work with our clients and vendors to make all design selections for our residential construction projects (custom homes, renovations, additions, and kitchen and bath remodels). This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working directly with homeowners, has a strong eye for design, and can effectively manage the many details involved in selecting finishes and materials for a custom home or renovation project. The Client Selections Coordinator will guide clients through the design and selections process from initial concept through construction, while working closely with our estimating, project management, and construction teams to ensure that selections are clearly documented, accurately priced, ordered, and delivered on schedule. Key Responsibilities Client Selections & Design Meet with residential clients to understand their design preferences, lifestyle, budget, and overall vision Guide clients through interior selections for kitchens, bathrooms, flooring, tile, countertops, cabinetry, plumbing fixtures, lighting, hardware, paint colors, doors, trim, appliances, and other interior finishes Guide clients through exterior selections for siding, roofing, windows, doors, decking, railings, exterior paint, etc. Develop cohesive finish palettes and design concepts appropriate for each project Assist clients in balancing selection aesthetics, functionality, and budget Prepare selection boards, samples, specifications, and other design materials Coordinate client selections in coordination with the established project schedule Project Coordination Maintain accurate records of all selections, allowances, upgrades, and changes Coordinate with estimators and project managers to ensure selections are properly priced and incorporated into project budgets Communicate finalized selections and specifications to construction team Track product availability, lead times, and delivery schedules Client Experience Serve as a primary point of contact for clients throughout the selections process Establish strong, professional relationships with homeowners and help make the design process enjoyable and efficient Clearly communicate options, pricing, lead times, and impact of client decisions Represent the quality, professionalism, and design standards of Galarneau Builders and Saratoga Kitchens & Baths Qualifications 2+ years of experience in residential interior design, kitchen and bath design, residential construction selections, or related field Strong knowledge of residential finishes, materials, fixtures, cabinetry, countertops, flooring, tile, lighting, appliances and plumbing products Excellent organizational and project-management skills Strong interpersonal and client communication skills Ability to read and understand architectural drawings, floor plans and elevations, Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and related design software Experience with kitchen and bath design software (Design Flex) is a plus A degree or formal education in interior design is a plus, but is not required; relevant residential design and construction experience will be considered. What We're Looking For We are looking for someone who combines design ability with exceptional organization and follow-through . The successful candidate will be comfortable moving between creative design discussions with homeowners and the detailed administrative work required to make those decisions actionable for the construction team.
The ideal candidate should be:
Creative and design-oriented Highly organized, detail-oriented and proactive Confident working directly with homeowners and discussing budgets/pricing A strong communicator and team player Interested in residential construction and the entire building process
Schedule:
Full-time position preferred; however, we are open to considering a part-time arrangement for the right candidate, with a minimum commitment of approximately 24 hours per week.
