Job Description

Office Designer Job Overview Kreager Company is looking for a detail-oriented and customer-focused Office Designer to join our team. This position will be responsible for working with customers from the initial design stage through the handoff of their project to our Job Coordinator. The ideal candidate will have experience with Design 2020 , be comfortable working directly with customers, and have a strong eye for detail. This is a hands-on position that includes traveling to job sites to take measurements, creating designs, preparing estimates, and presenting designs to customers. The Designer will work closely with our Job Coordinator to ensure projects are accurately documented and properly transitioned from the design stage into scheduling and production. Responsibilities Meet with customers to discuss their project, needs, preferences, and budget Visit job sites to take accurate measurements for kitchen, bath, and other cabinetry/countertop projects Create detailed designs using Design 2020 Prepare and type customer estimates and proposals Present designs and estimates to customers and make revisions as needed Help customers make decisions regarding cabinetry, countertops, layouts, and other project details Ensure measurements, designs, and project information are accurate before handing projects off Work closely with the Job Coordinator throughout the project to ensure a smooth transition from design to scheduling Communicate with customers regarding design-related questions and changes Keep customer and project information organized Occasionally assist with general office duties, including answering phones and helping walk-in customers Work as part of the Kreager Company team to provide a positive customer experience from start to finish Qualifications Experience with Design 2020 preferred Previous experience in kitchen and bath design, cabinetry, countertops, remodeling, or a related field is a plus Strong attention to detail and accuracy Comfortable taking field measurements Strong computer skills and ability to learn new software Excellent communication and customer service skills Comfortable meeting with customers and presenting designs Ability to read and understand measurements and basic construction information Organized and able to manage multiple projects at different stages Professional, dependable, and able to work independently while also being part of a team Valid driver's license and ability to travel to local job sites What We Offer $17-$25 per hour, based on experience Full-time, Monday-Friday PTO 401(k) retirement plan Gas card provided for company-related travel Family-owned and operated company Opportunity to grow with an established local business About Kreager Company Kreager Company is a family-owned cabinet and countertop business located in Newark, Ohio.
