Job Description
This position is in-person at a retail location. Calico is a leading retailer for custom decorating services with over 75 years of experience in the designer fabrics, custom design services, and upholstered furniture business. Our Store Managers are natural leaders, ready to drive sales and profitability, recruit top performers, and train, develop and motivate their teams to achieve success. We often find prior retail or management experience along with a background in sales, home furnishings or interior design to be an ideal combination. Our managers are goal and sales driven, and enjoy creating an engaging and service-oriented environment for their teams and customers. We provide comprehensive training that focuses on all aspects of store operations, including in-depth product knowledge. We hope you are interested in building a home with us. Additional job requirements include:
- Home furnishings, interior design or specialty retail experience preferred
- Demonstrated sales and financial acumen
- Experience in implementing sales strategies to maximize profitability
- A valid driver's license, auto insurance, and ability to provide your own transportation for in home customer visits Physical requirements:
- Must be able to stand, walk, stoop, and climb service ladders throughout their scheduled shift
- Must be able to lift and control merchandise weighing up to 25 lbs.
Compensation:
Pay is based on factors including but not limited to experience, store volume and location. In addition to the base salary, managers have the opportunity to earn quarterly and yearly bonuses.
