Job Description
About the Opportunity We are seeking a skilled Freelance AutoCAD Designer to assist with residential and commercial interior design projects. The ideal candidate has experience creating detailed cabinetry drawings, millwork plans, and interior design layouts that are ready for client presentations and fabrication. This is a project-based position, offering flexibility while providing consistent opportunities for qualified designers. You will work closely with our design team to transform concepts into accurate technical drawings and 3D models. Responsibilities Create detailed AutoCAD drawings for custom cabinetry, closets, kitchens, bathrooms, entertainment centers, and built-in furniture. Develop floor plans, elevations, sections, and construction details. Produce accurate shop drawings and fabrication-ready plans. Create 3D models and renderings when required. Interpret design concepts, sketches, and field measurements into professional CAD drawings. Revise drawings based on client feedback or project changes. Coordinate with interior designers, project managers, and installers to ensure design accuracy. Ensure all drawings meet project specifications and industry standards. Deliver completed drawings within agreed project timelines. Qualifications Proven experience using AutoCAD for residential or commercial interior design projects. Strong background in custom cabinetry, millwork, and space planning. Ability to create detailed construction documents and shop drawings. Experience with cabinet design software is a plus (Cabinet Vision, Mozaik, Microvellum, or similar). Knowledge of SketchUp, Revit, 3ds Max, or rendering software is an advantage. Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and manufacturing processes. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines. Preferred Skills Kitchen and bath design experience. Interior architectural drafting. Custom furniture and built-in design. Space planning and layout optimization. 3D visualization and rendering. Ability to read architectural plans and field measurements. Compensation Paid on a per-project basis.
