Duties Develop comprehensive interior design concepts for residential projects, incorporating client preferences, building codes, and budget constraints. Create detailed drawings and presentations using CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and 3ds Max to visualize design ideas effectively. Produce high-quality 3D models and renderings that accurately depict proposed interior spaces for client review and approval. Prepare construction detail documentation, including specifications for materials, finishes, lighting, and furnishings to ensure seamless project execution. Conduct building code analysis and ensure all designs comply with local regulations and safety standards. Manage multiple design projects simultaneously by coordinating schedules, budgets, and resources efficiently. Collaborate with contractors, vendors, and clients throughout the renovation or remodeling process to ensure design integrity and timely delivery. Utilize graphic design software such as Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Creative Suite to enhance presentation materials and mood boards. Assist in lighting design decisions and specify lighting fixtures that complement overall interior aesthetics while supporting functional needs. Engage in client communication to understand their vision, provide updates on project progress, and incorporate feedback into final designs. Qualifications Proven experience in interior design with a strong portfolio showcasing residential projects. Proficiency in CAD software including AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, 3ds Max, Rhinoceros 3D (Rhino), and Bluebeam for drafting and visualization purposes. Skilled in 3D modeling for architectural design and rendering techniques using industry-standard tools such as Adobe Photoshop and rendering software. Knowledge of building code compliance, construction detail documentation, and building information modeling (BIM) tools. Strong understanding of color theory, material selection, lighting sales strategies, and renovation processes. Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines while maintaining attention to detail. Effective communication skills for client interactions as well as collaboration with cross-disciplinary teams. A background in professional art or design is preferred; relevant certifications or degrees are highly valued.
