Job Description

Overview Charleston based Custom Home Builder seeking a confident, detail-oriented interior designer who thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and is excited to contribute creatively and strategically as an equal partner within our established design team. This role requires collaboration with clients, contractors, and other professionals to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget. Responsibilities Lead and manage interior design for multiple custom residential projects from concept through completion Collaborate closely with other designers, architects, project managers, and vendors to ensure cohesive execution of design vision Interpret architectural plans and clients vision to make informed design selections across all finish categories, including plumbing, lighting, cabinetry, appliances, tile, flooring, hardware, and trim Participate in and lead client meetings and presentations Develop and present mood boards, finish palettes, and design documentation to support client approvals and project progression Source and specify materials, finishes, and furnishings in alignment with budget, timeline, and client aesthetic Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors to ensure accurate procurement and installation of design elements Prepare and maintain accurate documentation of selections and specifications Stay current on industry trends, new product offerings, and innovations in residential design through vendor meetings and continued education Support the refinement and consistency of the design process, contributing ideas and feedback to strengthen the client experience Attend site visits and installations as needed to oversee and support the execution of design details Maintain a professional demeanor and uphold company values in all client, team, and trade partner interactions Qualifications and Skills Minimum of 2 years of professional interior design experience, preferably in high-end custom residential design Strong portfolio demonstrating a refined eye for design, attention to detail, and experience across all phases of the design process Exceptional communication and presentation skills with a client-centric approach Ability to work independently and collaboratively on multiple projects with competing deadlines Strong knowledge of construction methods, residential building timelines, and ability to read architectural plans Proficiency in design documentation, material sourcing, and finish specification Organized, proactive, and able to adapt in a fast-paced environment Passionate about interior design and committed to delivering elevated client experiences Proficiency in design software -
SketchUp, Bluebeam, AutoCAD, Revit, Adobe Photoshop Job Type:

$70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
