Job Description
Overview Freshwater Coast Design is a growing residential interior design studio based in McCormick, South Carolina. We help homeowners create beautiful, functional spaces through thoughtful interior design, kitchen and bath design, cabinetry, closets and storage, furnishings, and coordinated product selections. We are seeking an Interior Design Consultant who enjoys combining creativity, client relationships, and practical design expertise. This is an independent contractor opportunity working with Freshwater Coast Design clients and projects. What You'll Do Meet with clients in our showroom and in their homes to understand their needs, style preferences, functional requirements, and budget. Develop layouts and design concepts for kitchens, bathrooms, cabinetry, closets, storage, and other residential spaces. Guide clients through selections including cabinetry, countertops, finishes, hardware, and related materials. Prepare design presentations, project documentation, proposals, and estimates. Take and maintain accurate field measurements and project specifications. Coordinate with Freshwater Coast Design, vendors, suppliers, and installation professionals as projects move from design through implementation. Maintain organized client and project records. Help clients make informed decisions while providing a professional, personable design experience. Support consultative sales by following up with prospective clients and helping move qualified projects from initial consultation toward completion. Qualifications At least 1 year of experience in interior design, residential design, cabinetry, remodeling, sales, or a related field. Ability to listen to clients and translate their needs into functional, attractive design concepts. Strong communication, presentation, and customer-service skills. Knowledge of space planning, materials, finishes, and residential design principles. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple active projects. Comfortable discussing budgets, pricing, selections, and project scope with clients. Strong computer skills and willingness to learn specialized design and business software. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for local client and project visits. Preferred Experience Education in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field. Kitchen and bath design experience. Cabinetry or residential remodeling experience. Experience with HouzzPro, 2020, ProKitchen, SketchUp, or similar design software. Pay:
