Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM-5:00 PM; Saturday by appointment only
Schedule/Location:
This position will rotate between our Sioux Falls and Harrisburg Showrooms. Position Summary As a Showplace Sales Designer , you'll work directly with homeowners, contractors, and customers in our retail showroom to design and sell cabinetry, countertops, hardware, and other kitchen and bath products. You'll guide customers from the initial conversation through the final order, using your creativity, product knowledge, and customer service skills to bring their vision to life. If you enjoy interior design, working with people, staying organized, and seeing a project come together from start to finish, this could be a great opportunity for you! What You'll Do Greet and qualify showroom customers and identify their project needs and goals. Build relationships with homeowners, contractors, vendors, and customers. Answer phones and provide a professional and welcoming showroom experience. Travel to job sites to take measurements and gather information for designs. Create kitchen and bath layouts using 20/20 design software. Develop customer presentations, determine pricing, and make revisions as needed. Recommend cabinetry, finishes, hardware, and other products based on customer needs and budgets. Follow up on leads and presentations to determine if projects are sold or lost. Prepare and submit accurate cabinet orders for production. Review order acknowledgements and make corrections as needed. Process written job changes and ensure orders remain accurate through completion. Follow up on orders to help ensure excellent customer service. Follow company guidelines and procedures for pricing, product displays, and professional sales conduct. Assist senior Sales Designers and support the showroom as needed. Open and close the showroom and work scheduled floor time. What We're Looking For Candidates must already possess or be willing to learn the following: High school diploma required; bachelor's degree or building products experience preferred. Previous experience with 20/20 or ProKitchen is preferred. Strong interest in interior design, cabinetry, home improvement, or related products. Excellent written, verbal, and listening skills. Strong organizational and people skills with excellent attention to detail. Professional communication skills with customers, vendors, and coworkers. Comfortable using computers, phones, Microsoft Office, and other technology. Ability to learn Showplace products, pricing, and design software. Ability to work independently while also being part of a team. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Ability to travel to local job sites and work in both showroom and job-site environments.
