AGC Home Remodeling About Us AGC Home Remodeling is a fast-growing design and build construction company looking for a creative, detail-oriented, and client-focused Interior Designer and Materials Manager to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who loves bringing a client's vision to life, has a sharp eye for residential aesthetics, and enjoys the hands-on process of material selection and procurement. You'll work closely with our clients, management, and construction teams to guide remodeling projects beautifully from initial design concepts through material ordering and final execution.   • Meet with clients to understand their goals, develop design concepts, create mood boards, and guide them through the layout and aesthetic process. Material Selection
  • Partner with clients to source and select all interior finishes, including cabinets, tile, flooring, fixtures, countertops, windows, doors, hardware, and paint colors. Vendor & Showroom Coordination
  • Work closely with suppliers, showrooms, and vendors to request quotes, confirm trade pricing, and stay updated on the latest product trends and availability. Estimating & Allowance Tracking
  • Help prepare and manage design budgets, ensuring client selections align with project scopes, allowances, and pricing tiers. Purchase Orders & Procurement
  • Take ownership of the ordering process.
Process purchase orders, track material deliveries, monitor lead times, and coordinate with the construction team to ensure everything arrives on time and to specification. What We're Looking For ✔
Experience:
At least 3 years of experience in residential interior design, design-build project coordination, or a similar residential remodeling role. ✔
Design & Material Knowledge:
Strong familiarity with residential construction materials, finishes, and the remodeling process. ✔
Detail-Oriented:
Crucial for accurately tracking client selections, pricing, lead times, and purchase orders without letting anything slip through the cracks. ✔
Strong Communicator:
Exceptional interpersonal skills. You can build trust with clients, negotiate with vendors, and collaborate seamlessly with our field construction teams. ✔
Tech-Savvy:
Comfortable with design/space-planning software (e.g., Chief Architect, AutoCAD, SketchUp, or 2020), spreadsheets, and CRM/project management tools. ✔
Organized & Proactive:
Able to manage multiple client portfolios simultaneously, follow up consistently, and keep the selection process moving forward. Requirements ✔ Interior design degree or equivalent hands-on residential design/remodeling experience preferred ✔ In-office position in Austin, TX (with local travel to client sites/showrooms) ✔ Valid driver's license required ✔ Ability to pass a background check and drug test Why Join Us?
