Job Description

Designer This is an excellent opportunity for someone who combines a strong eye for design with exceptional organization, communication, and project coordination skills. Responsibilities Meet with homeowners to understand their lifestyle, design preferences, budget, and overall vision Guide clients through the complete selections process from initial consultation through final approvals Assist with selections including cabinetry, countertops, flooring, tile, paint, lighting, plumbing fixtures, hardware, appliances, and other finishes Present design options, upgrade opportunities, and finish packages to homeowners Create cohesive interior selections that align with the home's architecture and overall design Maintain accurate records of selections, pricing, allowances, upgrades, and customer approvals Coordinate selections with purchasing, project management, construction, vendors, and trade partners Monitor product availability and lead times and communicate potential issues to the appropriate team Maintain current product information, samples, pricing, and showroom displays Assist with updating design boards, finish packages, and studio displays Ensure approved selections are accurately documented and communicated to the construction team Stay current on residential design trends, products, materials, and finishes Build strong relationships with homeowners, vendors, and internal team members Deliver an exceptional customer experience throughout the design and selections process Manage multiple homeowners and projects while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines Qualifications 2+ years of experience in interior design, residential design, selections, merchandising, or a related field Experience with a custom home builder, production builder, design center, or residential design firm is preferred Strong knowledge of residential finishes, materials, fixtures, and current design trends Confident working directly with clients and presenting design options Strong eye for color, scale, proportion, and overall design Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail Ability to manage multiple clients, projects, and deadlines simultaneously Strong written and verbal communication skills Comfortable working within established budgets and builder specifications Experience with Buildertrend, CoConstruct, Procore, AutoCAD, SketchUp, or similar software is a plus Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field is preferred but not required Compensation & Benefits Competitive base salary Performance-based incentives Health, dental, and vision insurance Life and disability insurance 401(k) with company match Paid time off and holidays Opportunity to work on high-end custom homes and directly impact the finished product Long-term growth opportunity with an established custom home builder
