  • Meet with clients to assess and understand space requirements, operational needs, aesthetic preferences, and project goals.
  • Develop interior layouts, furniture plans, space plans, and visual design concepts that meet client requirements and Agency standards.
  • Select furniture, fixtures, equipment, finishes, and related products in compliance with Agency standards, applicable regulations, and project requirements.
  • Provide visual design expertise to create functional, professional, and visually cohesive interior environments.
  • Maintain current knowledge of furniture manufacturers, products, specifications, product changes, availability, and lead times.
  • Provide the Government with manufacturer product updates, substitutions, changes, and anticipated lead-time impacts.
  • Obtain price quotes, cost estimates, and other pricing information for furniture, services, and related products.
  • Procure and receive goods and services in accordance with established procedures.
  • Direct and supervise furniture and equipment deliveries from vendors and verify that products and quantities meet project requirements.
  • Ensure furniture and related product deliverables meet agreed-upon schedules, specifications, and quality standards.
  • Organize and execute campus moves involving furniture, equipment, and personnel.
  • Schedule, coordinate, and supervise movers and moving activities.
  • Organize, track, and maintain the Agency's inventory of surplus furniture and equipment.
  • Coordinate with clients, vendors, contractors, facility personnel, movers, and other stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Monitor project schedules, identify potential delays or issue, and coordinate solutions to maintain project commitments.
  • Prepare and maintain furniture plans, specifications, inventories, procurement documentation, and other project records.
  • Ensure designs and furniture selections support functionality, accessibility, safety, durability, and the overall visual character of the environment.
