Design Associate - Residential Construction

This position is a full time, in office position at our Virginia Beach office. Responsibilities:

• Accurate Project Planning
• Designing layouts of renovation projects Including Kitchen Layouts, Bathroom Layouts
• Coordinating and effectively communicating with the construction team
• Budget planning of materials and work
• Timely execution of all projects and meeting deadlines
• Effective oral and written communication
• In depth knowledge of construction projects a plus
• Running design on several projects at once
• Extremely comfortable and proficient on a computer

Requirements:

• Valid Driver's License.
• Clear driving record, no felony convictions, no misdemeanor convictions involving theft or injury to persons or property.
• Associates Degree in

Architecture, Engineering, Management, Design, Interior Design:

OR

• 4 Years of actual experience in design build or interior/exterior renovations

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• View computer screen for extended periods
• Sit or stand for long periods of time
• Occasionally bending or stooping to lift up to 10 pounds- 30 pounds
• Ability to climb ladders and other support equipment
• Ability to walk over uneven surfaces in all kinds of weather

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Work is performed in a normal office environment. Site visits will also be required outside with possible exposure to extreme elements in various seasons. Employees may be required to work in excess of 8 hours in a day and/or 40 hours per week.
