Category Schools - Sign Language Interpreter - Telehealth Job Type Contract A contract position is available for a skilled Sign Language Interpreter to support a 14-year-old student through telehealth services. This role requires expertise in sign language interpreting within educational settings, ensuring effective communication and accessibility for the student.
Location:
Cordova, AL Schedule:
30 hours per week
Duration:
Immediate start with assignment through May 21st Responsibilities include: Providing accurate and clear sign language interpretation during telehealth sessions to facilitate communication between the student and educational professionals Collaborating with educators and therapists to support the student's learning needs Maintaining confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions Adapting interpreting techniques to meet the individual requirements of the student Desired qualifications and experience: Proven experience as a Sign Language Interpreter, specifically within school environments Proficient in telehealth interpreting platforms and technology Familiarity with educational terminology and practices for adolescent students Strong communication skills and ability to work independently in a remote setting Commitment to providing high-quality support tailored to the student's needs This opportunity offers a flexible, part-time schedule focused on delivering critical interpreting services in an educational context.
