Qualifications:
Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) Valid interpreter certification or appropriate state licensure (if required by state) Prior experience as a Sign Language Interpreter in educational settings (preferred) Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities Adaptability, reliability, and a positive, team-oriented attitude
Responsibilities:
Provide sign language interpretation to facilitate clear communication between students, staff, and educational teams Support classroom learning by interpreting instructions, discussions, and activities Collaborate with teachers and special education professionals to meet individual student needs Maintain accurate records of services provided and adhere to confidentiality policies Participate in IEP meetings or other relevant team meetings as needed
