Performance Pay:
Available annually
New Hire Experience:
1% of the base hourly rate granted for each year of verified like experience (within ten years) beyond the requirement, up to a ten-year maximum
New Hire Education:
1% of the base hourly rate awarded for an AA or higher degree if not required for the position
Job Summary:
To assist in the coordinating, administering and monitoring of district testing for English Language Acquisition Department to ensure quality control and compliance with district, state and federal guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate district testing for English Language Acquisition Department Assist in the identification, screening, testing and placement of language minority students Prepare student counts; maintain records, reports and other recordkeeping tasks; inventory and update testing materials and kits Assume responsibility for gathering data; assist in preparation of final reports (i.e. results, interpretations, recommendations); relay test results to appropriate personnel Respond to inquiries and testing requests from school personnel Develop files and maintain quality control Attend designated meetings and support innovative ideas Perform other related duties, as assigned, to ensure the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit Regular and on-time attendance required Assist other personnel as may be required for the purpose of supporting them in the completion of their work activities Assists with other assigned duties as appropriate to the area of assignment and
Mesa Public Schools Required Qualifications:
High School education or equivalent Bilingual in Spanish preferred; must pass language proficiency test Computer and clerical experience helpful

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
Most of the work is performed indoors in a school office, classroom, or testing environment Travel to schools throughout the district Fast-Paced at
Times:
Testing windows can bring high volumes of tasks and deadlines. May work independently or as part of a small team under the supervision of an EL Coordinator or school administrator Extended periods of sitting for computer-based tasks like data entry and report generation May need to lift and carry boxes of test materials (typically under 25 pounds)
