Key Responsibilities:
Interpret sign language for students during instructional activities. Facilitate accurate communication between deaf or hard-of-hearing students and staff. Collaborate with educators to support diverse learning needs. Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions. Adhere to safety and facility protocols to foster a secure learning environment.
Qualifications:
High School diploma or G.E.D. Completion of an Interpreter Training program. Minimum 1 year instructional interpretation experience in a school environment. Valid driver's license. Valid Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card. Social Security Card. CPR certification from an accredited agency (in person). First Aid certification from an accredited agency (in person). Strong communication skill set. Adaptability to school environments. Compliance with all facility and safety protocols. Ability to maintain required certifications and clearances.
