Description Apple is looking for an American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreter to support our team members. You will interpret simultaneously into ASL and English at the highest levels for multiple clients, navigating technical jargon, and confidential topics. You will demonstrate calm confidence in front of the camera. You will be able to adjust your register, language, and interpretation to best represent the setting and team member. You will be a self-starter, with strong scheduling and time management skills. You will also support and contribute to the program management of Apple's global sign language programs. You must demonstrate a strong understanding of Deaf culture, the interpreting industry, as well as having an innovative approach to your work. You will be a strong collaborator with a passion for accessibility. ","responsibilities":"Providing interpreting services in our Cupertino locations Providing interpreting services for meetings, presentations, and customer-facing content Scheduling, delivering, and reporting on services provided Influencing and supporting sign language initiatives across Apple Identifying and driving opportunities for scalable solutions Preferred Qualifications The ability to navigate ambiguity The ability to maintain professionalism and prioritize competing demands Minimum Qualifications National Interpreter Certification (NIC) and good standing with the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID) Minimum 5 years ASL interpreting experience at a professional level, ideally within the tech industry or other demanding environments working with Deaf professionals Demonstrable experience interpreting simultaneously in American Sign Language and English with high accuracy The ability to quickly learn new terms and technical jargon Demonstrable experience with interpreting both remotely and in-person Demonstrable experience with interpreting for confidential topics and maintaining confidentiality Demonstrable experience with interpreting for both live and recorded content Ability to support program management of projects and tasks Pay & Benefits At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $114,900 and $172,700, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
