Qualifications & Desired Experience:

Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) is essential Previous experience as a sign language interpreter or school paraprofessional strongly preferred Comfortable working with 5th and 6th grade students in an educational setting Adaptable, dependable, and ready to take on an emergency backfill assignment Ability to collaborate with teachers, staff, and students to support learning Available to start as soon as possible

Primary Responsibilities:

Provide real-time ASL interpretation for students requiring communication assistance Offer paraprofessional classroom support to individuals and small groups Collaborate with teachers to adapt assignments and materials as needed Foster a supportive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment Assist with day-to-day classroom activities and student supervision Maintain confidentiality and uphold professionalism at all times This is a unique chance to blend your skills in sign language and student support while making a genuine difference in students daily experiences.
