Category Schools - Sign Language Interpreter Job Type All Job Types Bring your expertise in American Sign Language to a rewarding educational setting, serving K-12 students for the 2025-2026 school year. This on-site position is based at a single campus located near Fresno, CA, and offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on students who are deaf or hard of hearing. You will support clear communication and foster classroom engagement, working approximately 32.5 hours each week.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) Experience interpreting in school settings is preferred Valid NAD Certification or EIPA Certification with a score of 4.0 or above Dedication to working with students across all grade levels (K-12) Collaborative, reliable, and adaptable in dynamic educational environments
Responsibilities:
Provide sign language interpretation for students and staff in K-12 classrooms Facilitate communication during lessons, school events, and meetings Adapt interpreting style to match the needs of each student and classroom Work closely with educators, administrators, and fellow interpreters to support inclusive education Help ensure a positive, accessible learning experience for all students Engage with a learning community that values your specialized skills and recognizes the vital role interpreters play in student success.
