Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled ASL Interpreter to join our team. We have multiple ASL Interpreter in Lodi, CA . These are full-time positions and ASLs needed to work with students of all ages on site and help students with day-to-day routine in the classroom. The ideal candidate will possess strong interpretation skills, cultural competence, and a commitment to supporting diverse communication needs. We are offering $70-$80 hourly with an instant joining Bonus of $1500. Responsibilities Provide real-time interpretation of spoken language into American Sign Language and vice versa in educational environments. Ensure accurate conveyance of tone, intent, and context during interpreted conversations or presentations. Prepare for assignments by reviewing relevant terminology, documents, or subject matter to ensure effective communication. Stay current with developments in linguistics, interpretation techniques, and cultural awareness related to ASL. Requirements Educational Interpreter Performance Evaluation (EIPA), level 4 or above Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID) American Consortium of Certified Interpreters (ACC1), level 4 or above NAD certification, level 4 or above Educational Signs Skills Evaluation Interpreter (ESSE-1), level 4 or above Proven proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) with certification from a recognized interpreting organization preferred. Multilingual abilities are a plus; familiarity with additional languages enhances versatility. Demonstrated experience in interpretation or translation within diverse settings. Strong communication skills with the ability to adapt language style to different audiences. Knowledge of linguistics principles related to sign language structure and usage.
