Job Description

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting K-12 students as a Sign Language Interpreter. Your expertise will empower students to thrive in their educational environment, facilitating clear and effective communication between students, staff, and the school community. This role provides consistency throughout the school year, allowing you to build meaningful connections and make a lasting impact.
Qualifications & Certifications:
Minimum 4.0 EIPA Score and/or RID Certification required Experience working in K-12 educational settings highly preferred Exceptional command of American Sign Language (ASL) Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to interpret in both one-on-one and group instructional settings Demonstrated professionalism and adaptability within school environments
Key Responsibilities:
Interpret spoken language into ASL and vice versa during classroom instruction, assemblies, meetings, and extracurricular activities Support students' understanding of curriculum content, fostering an inclusive and positive learning environment Collaborate with teachers, special educators, and staff to address the unique needs of each student Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in all interactions Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of individual education plans as needed
