This contract opportunity is perfect for Sign Language Interpreters or qualified ASL Paras looking to work onsite in a dynamic school environment. Full-time positions are available with approximately 30 hours per week, typically covering about 6 hours per day. Youll be facilitating access to both educational content and social interaction for middle and high school students, with your site preference taken into consideration.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide sign-to-voice and voice-to-sign interpreting to enable effective communication between deaf or hard of hearing students, their peers, and school personnel Assist students with academic concepts in subjects such as reading, writing, and math Support students in developing vocational and everyday living skills as needed Monitor and assist students during classroom, outdoor, and community-based activities Adapt to a variety of instructional settings to promote student success Collaborate with teachers and other staff to foster an inclusive learning environment

Qualifications:

Certification from the National Registry of Interpreters of the Deaf, or a score of 4.0 or above on the EIPA, ESSE-I/R, or

NAD/ACCI
