Job Description
Certified Medical Interpreter - Spanish We are seeking a Certified Spanish Medical Interpreter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be professional, compassionate, dependable, and committed to providing accurate and effective communication between Spanish-speaking patients and healthcare providers. Requirements Current certification required through one of the following: NBCMI - National Board of Certification for Medical Interpreters (CMI) CCHI - Certification Commission for Healthcare Interpreters Fluency in both Spanish and English Strong verbal and written communication skills Knowledge of medical terminology Ability to accurately interpret medical information without adding, omitting, or changing information Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA requirements Previous healthcare or medical interpreting experience preferred Computer literate and proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel Ability to navigate electronic medical records and other computer-based systems Strong organizational and time-management skills Responsibilities Provide professional Spanish-English interpretation for patients, physicians, and medical staff Interpret during medical appointments, examinations, procedures, and follow-up visits Accurately communicate medical terminology, instructions, questions, and responses Assist patients and providers with effective communication throughout the patient's visit Ensure required authorization is obtained for workers' compensation patients prior to providing interpreting services, as applicable Coordinate with office staff, providers, adjusters, and other parties regarding workers' compensation authorization requirements Maintain accurate documentation and records related to interpretation services and authorizations Maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries at all times Work collaboratively with healthcare providers and office staff Utilize Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, electronic medical records, and other computer systems as required Schedule Full-Time & Full-Time | Monday-Friday | 4-8 hours per day Locations Positions are available in: Orange County Inland Empire (IE) Join Our Team If you are a Certified Medical Interpreter who is passionate about helping patients receive quality care, ensuring clear communication, and providing excellent support to healthcare providers and patients, we encourage you to apply.
