Qualifications:

Valid Sign Language Interpreter credentials and certifications Minimum 4.0 EIPA or RID score required Experience working in a school setting, preferably with middle school-aged children Strong interpersonal, listening, and communication skills Ability to interpret in a variety of classroom and campus environments

Responsibilities:

Interpret spoken language to American Sign Language (ASL) and vice versa for middle school students, educators, and staff Facilitate effective communication during classroom instruction, school activities, and meetings Collaborate closely with teachers and support staff to ensure a fully inclusive educational experience Maintain accurate and confidential records as needed Uphold standards of professional conduct and adhere to ethical guidelines Adapt interpreting techniques to meet diverse learning needs and settings This contract role spans five days a week, 37.5 hours per week, focusing on continuous engagement and student support.
