We are seeking a passionate and highly skilled Top Notch Birth Doula to join our team on a contract basis. In this vital role, you will provide compassionate, evidence-based support to expectant families throughout pregnancy, labor, birth, and the postpartum period. Your expertise will empower families with confidence and comfort during one of the most transformative experiences of their lives. Responsibilities Offer continuous emotional, physical, and informational support to birthing individuals before, during, and after labor Assist with comfort measures such as positioning, breathing techniques, massage, and relaxation strategies Collaborate with medical staff to ensure the birthing person's preferences are respected and understood Conduct patient assessments to monitor progress and identify any needs or concerns during labor Provide guidance on physiology and anatomy related to childbirth to help families understand the process Assist with intake procedures by gathering relevant health history and birth plan details Educate families on medical terminology and procedures to foster informed decision-making during labor and delivery Requirements Proven experience as a birth doula or in a similar patient service role within maternity care Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology related to childbirth Excellent patient assessment skills with the ability to respond calmly under pressure Ability to perform intake assessments accurately and efficiently Compassionate demeanor with exceptional communication skills tailored for diverse populations Basic understanding of patient service principles with a focus on empathetic care Relevant certifications or training in childbirth education or doula practices are preferred but not mandatory Join us in delivering exceptional support that empowers families through one of life's most beautiful journeys!
