Desired Qualifications:
Certification or licensure as a Sign Language Interpreter (such as EIPA, NIC, or state equivalent) Prior experience interpreting within educational environments is preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills Flexibility and adaptability in new settings Commitment to fostering inclusive, accessible learning experiences
Key Responsibilities:
Facilitate effective communication between Deaf/hard-of-hearing students and educators Interpret classroom instruction, discussions, and school functions accurately Collaborate with teaching staff and special education teams Assist in developing inclusive educational plans and environments Maintain confidentiality and uphold professional standards
