Qualifications:
Certification in Sign Language Interpretation (NIC, EIPA, or equivalent preferred) Demonstrated proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) Experience interpreting in K-12 educational settings Strong communication and collaboration skills Ability to adapt quickly to new environments and diverse student needs
Responsibilities:
Provide ASL interpretation for students, staff, and parents in classroom and school activities Facilitate communication between Deaf/hard-of-hearing students and peers or instructional staff Ensure accurate and confidential interpretation of spoken and signed communication Collaborate with educators to support inclusion and individualized learning outcomes Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student support plans as needed
