Key Qualifications:

ASLPI score of 4.1 or higher, demonstrating advanced proficiency in American Sign Language Prior experience providing 1:1 interpretation services in educational settings is highly desirable National Interpreter Certification (NIC) or equivalent credentials preferred Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with students, teachers, and staff Confidence in working independently and adapting to varied classroom environments Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and supporting student success

Responsibilities:

Provide one-on-one ASL interpreting services to a designated student across academic settings Accurately convey lectures, instructions, and classroom interactions between students and staff Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment that meets individual student needs Collaborate with educational teams to ensure student progress and accessibility Maintain professionalism and adhere to best practices and ethical standards of interpreting
