Job Description
Make a meaningful difference supporting students by bringing your expertise in sign language interpretation to a dynamic school community in the Littleton, CO area. This full-time, full school year position offers the opportunity to work onsite with a variety of students in both special education and general education settings, ranging from mild to severe needs. As an itinerant interpreter, youll collaborate with a diverse team across multiple school locations, ensuring students receive consistent, high-quality support throughout their educational journey.
Desired Qualifications:
Valid CDE Authorization for educational sign language interpreting in Colorado (required) EIPA assessment score of 3.5 or higher (required) Prior experience working with students in both general and special education environments Flexibility to adapt to different school sites and diverse student needs Strong professionalism, communication, and collaborative skills Commitment to fostering an inclusive and accessible classroom environmentKey Responsibilities:
Provide sign language interpreting for students who are deaf or hard of hearing in a variety of classroom and school settings Support educational access and facilitate communication between students, staff, and peers Adjust interpreting techniques as needed to serve a wide range of educational and individual needs Work closely with educators, SPED teams, and administration to ensure seamless student support Maintain accurate records, follow confidentiality protocols, and meet all compliance requirements A fulfilling career awaits with the chance to empower students daily, develop your professional skills, and contribute meaningfully to an inclusive school community.
