Key Requirements:

Proven experience as a Sign Language Interpreter in school-based or similar educational settings ASLPI (American Sign Language Proficiency Interview) score of 4.1 or higher required Ability to work effectively as a 1:1 interpreter, facilitating clear communication between the student and educational staff Clear understanding of interpreter ethics, confidentiality, and professional boundaries in diverse classroom scenarios Strong teamwork, flexibility, and communication skills

Primary Responsibilities:

Deliver accurate and seamless ASL interpretation during classroom instruction, school activities, and one-on-one interactions Support student participation, comprehension, and integration within all aspects of the school day Collaborate with educators, specialists, and families to help achieve the students academic and developmental goals Maintain up-to-date records and adapt communication methods to meet varying needs and settings Serve as a language and cultural bridge, promoting an inclusive educational experience
