Job Description

Step into an engaging opportunity to support student success as a Sign Language Interpreter in a dynamic educational environment. This is a full-time, full-school-year contract position for experienced interpreters who are passionate about facilitating communication and fostering inclusive classrooms. You will play a vital role in enhancing access to curriculum and campus life, providing interpretation services for students who are deaf or hard of hearing. Collaborate with educators and staff to ensure every student can fully participate in daily activities and academic learning.
Qualifications & Background Desired:
Valid certification as a Sign Language Interpreter EIPA score of 3.5 or above required Demonstrated fluency in American Sign Language (ASL) Experience working in school settings or with children/adolescents preferred Understanding of IEPs and accommodations for students with communication needs Strong interpersonal skills and a professional, supportive demeanor
Primary Responsibilities:
Interpret classroom instruction, assemblies, meetings, and extracurricular activities Support clear, accurate communication between students, staff, and peers Prepare for assignments by reviewing academic material or lesson plans Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards for educational interpreters Adapt services based on individual student needs and classroom dynamics Participate in school-based meetings related to student progress or service planning Embrace the chance to make a meaningful difference each day.
