Job Description

Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting students in a dynamic educational setting as a passionate Sign Language Interpreter. In this contract position, you'll have the chance to make a meaningful impact by providing vital communication support within local schools. This role is designed for professionals committed to facilitating inclusive learning environments. You'll primarily offer one-to-one interpreting services on-site, divided between dedicated time at Alliance Academy and flexible floating assignments as needed. The assignment begins as soon as possible and extends through May 27th, 2027.
Qualifications and Experience:
Hold a valid
GA DOE SLI
License, ready to present at interview Proven skills as a Sign Language Interpreter within school settings Ability to adapt between a set location and floating assignments Dedication to clear, effective communication with students, staff, and families Professionalism, reliability, and a collaborative spirit are essential
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver one-on-one sign language interpreting for students, fostering their participation in classroom and campus activities Collaborate with educational teams to adapt to students' changing needs Ensure accurate, confidential interpretation in academic and extracurricular contexts Support the academic and social development of students who are deaf or hard of hearing Adjust quickly to new situations as a floating interpreter when required
