Category Schools - Sign Language Interpreter Job Type Contract Embark on a fulfilling contract opportunity supporting students as a Sign Language Interpreter in a vibrant educational setting near Duluth, GA. This role offers the chance to make a lasting impact, working closely with students in a dynamic school environment from now through May 2027.
Key Qualifications & Credentials:
Must hold a valid Georgia Department of Education (GA DOE) Sign Language Interpreter License (HR waiver not permitted) Previous experience as a Sign Language Interpreter in school settings is highly valued Strong proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) required Ability to adapt to different classroom and student needs Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Role Responsibilities:
Provide direct 1:1 sign language interpretation for students, ensuring clear access to classroom instruction and activities Deliver in-person services exclusively—remote or virtual work is not offered in this placement Split responsibilities between a part-time assignment at Alliance Academy and part-time floating coverage as needed Collaborate with teachers, case managers, and other school professionals to support student success Maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional ethical standards
Position Details:
