Middle school, Deaf and Hard of Hearing program (Cary, IL): Full-time, 35 hours/week, through 5/21/27. Elementary mainstream (St. Charles, IL): Full-time, 35 hours/week, through 5/30/27. Elementary, self-contained classroom (Oswego, IL): Full-time, 35 hours/week, through 5/30/27.

Qualifications:

Minimum score of 3.5 EIPA with valid ISBE certification, or a 3.0+ EIPA plus IBSE approval. Previous experience in school-based or educational interpreting is strongly preferred. In-depth knowledge of American Sign Language and effective interpreting strategies for academic environments. Ability to work collaboratively with classroom teachers, related service providers, and educational staff. Strong communication skills, reliability, and a commitment to supporting students' diverse communication needs.

Responsibilities:

Provide interpreting services for Deaf or Hard of Hearing students in classroom and school settings. Facilitate communication between students, peers, staff, and faculty. Support student access to curriculum, activities, and social interactions. Maintain professionalism and confidentiality at all times.
