9657543-60016 Job Description Step into a dynamic, full-time opportunity supporting students from early childhood through high school as a dedicated Sign Language Interpreter. In this contract role, youll work the full academic year, traveling to various schools throughout the Lake County area. Your expertise will empower students with visual and hearing impairments, enabling their access to communication and the curriculum within inclusive educational environments. Work a steady, predictable shift from 8:00am to 3:30pm, with guaranteed 7.5-hour days that include a lunch break. Your caseload will involve providing vital interpreting services to approximately 1218 students, ensuring every individual receives personalized attention and support. Interpreters with strong collaboration skills and flexibility will thrive, as the position involves traveling to multiple district sites and adapting to diverse student needs.

Qualifications and Experience Desired:

Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) and comprehensive interpreting skills Previous experience interpreting in educational or school settings preferred Ability to serve students across early childhood (EC) through 12th grade Strong understanding of the needs of students who are visually impaired or deaf/hard of hearing Valid state or national certification as a Sign Language Interpreter (preferred) Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to various locations within
