A rewarding contract opportunity is available for a skilled Sign Language Interpreter to make a real difference in a students educational journey during the 2026/2027 school year. This role focuses on providing dedicated 1:1 interpretation services for a high school student in a supportive school environment, Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

Valid EIPA score of 3.5 or higher (required) Proficiency in American Sign Language and familiarity with educational settings Previous experience working 1:1 with students, preferably at the high school level Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with educators and support staff Reliability and commitment to consistent attendance throughout the school year

Primary Responsibilities:

Deliver accurate and contextually appropriate sign language interpretation between the student, staff, and peers in classroom and school activities Support the students access to the curriculum and involvement in school events Assist with clarification and note-taking as needed to ensure understanding Maintain the highest level of professional ethics and confidentiality Participate in team meetings, as requested, regarding the students progress and needs Seize this chance to impact a high schoolers daily life and empower their educational success, all while working a school-day schedule that encourages work-life balance.
