Two contract opportunities are available providing on-site interpreting services in educational settings for the current school year through May 2027. Select your ideal schedule with options for full or part-time hours, both Monday through Friday.

Desired Credentials and Experience:

Valid certification: EIPA score of 3.5 or higher with Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) Approval, or

EIPA 3.0-3.4

with interim ISBE Approval Credentials such as BEI, ISAS, CI/CT, or NIC accepted with ISBE Approval Proficiency both in expressive and receptive sign language skills Previous experience in K-12 school or educational environments preferred Ability to foster a supportive learning atmosphere and collaborate with staff

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver clear, accurate sign language interpretation for students in classroom and school activities Follow classroom routines and interpretations in varying academic subjects and settings Collaborate with teachers and special education professionals to support student learning Maintain confidentiality, professionalism, and ethical standards at all times Provide feedback or support to the educational team as needed

Position Details:
