Sign Language Interpreter in Grayslake, IL

Degree in American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreting, certified ASL Interpreter credentials, and 1+ year of experience as an ASL Interpreter in educational settings. This onsite, full-time contract offers the chance to work within a diverse educational environment for the 2026-2027 academic year, from August 10th, 2026, through May 20th, 2027 (potentially extending to May 27th, 2027). Two positions are available, and assignments will be discussed in greater detail during the interview process, ensuring a dynamic and meaningful experience.

Qualifications:

Valid EIPA Score of 3.5 or higher required Demonstrated proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) in educational environments Previous experience supporting students with hearing impairments preferred Strong communication and collaboration skills with educators, staff, and students Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions Flexibility to adjust to evolving student needs and assignment details

Responsibilities:
