Qualifications:

Valid certification: EIPA score of 3.5 or higher with ISBE Approval, or

EIPA 3.0-3.4

with Interim ISBE Approval BEI, ISAS, CI/CT, or NIC credentials (with ISBE Approval) accepted Experience interpreting in school settings preferred Dedication to supporting Deaf and Hard of Hearing students full participation in the classroom

Responsibilities:

Provide sign language interpretation for students and staff during assigned hours Facilitate clear communication between Deaf/Hard of Hearing students and their peers, teachers, and support staff Remain onsite during scheduled hourseither at John Powers Center (Monday-Friday, 9am-3pm) or Grayslake North High School (Monday-Friday, 8am-12pm) Adhere to all ethical standards and practices set forth by educational authorities
