9668095-60067 Job Description Step into a rewarding contract opportunity interpreting for students in a vibrant educational environment near Palatine, IL. Two dynamic positions are available supporting students with communication needsone at a specialized center in Vernon Hills and another at a respected high school in Grayslake. Work closely with educational teams and help foster student engagement and success.

Key Qualifications:

Proficiency in American Sign Language and successful experience interpreting in K-12 settings Certification must include one of the following: EIPA score of 3.5 or above with current ISBE Approval, EIPA score of 3.0-3.4 with ISBE Interim Approval, or recognized BEI, ISAS, CI/CT, or NIC credentials with ISBE Approval Strong communication skills and ability to adapt to students individual needs Collaborative mindset for working within diverse educational teams

Opportunities & Schedules:

Vernon Hills (John Powers Center): Full days, Monday through Friday, 9am3pm; assignment runs ASAP through late May 2027

Grayslake North High School:

Mornings only, Monday through Friday, 8am12pm; assignment also runs ASAP through late May 2027

Responsibilities:

Interpret classroom lessons, activities, and discussions to support students full participation Facilitate effective communication between students, staff, and peers Prepare as needed for various instructional topics and adapt to different classroom environments Uphold confidentiality and ethical interpreting practices These assignments are for onsite work and provide the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in students daily educational experiences.
