Qualifications:

Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (IL PEL) EIPA Score of 3.4 or higher Experience in school-based sign language interpreting strongly preferred Strong communication and collaboration skills

Responsibilities:

Interpret classroom lessons and activities for a middle school student beginning at 7:35am Foster accessible communication between student, peers, and staff Contribute to the educational team to promote student growth and participation Adapt signing approaches as needed to accommodate student's residual hearing Maintain confidentiality and adhere to school policies
