Desired Qualifications:
EIPA score of 3.0 or above, and either have applied for a Professional Educator License (PEL) or possess an active PEL to interpret in schools Proficient in American Sign Language (ASL) Previous experience in a school or educational setting preferred Strong teamwork, communication, and organizational abilities Patience, adaptability, and genuine care for the unique needs of DHH students
Key Responsibilities:
Provide real-time sign language interpretation for DHH students across academic and school-related activities Facilitate clear communication between students, teachers, staff, and peers Prepare for classroom lessons in advance to ensure subject matter understanding Collaborate with educators to adapt classroom materials and meet individual student needs Maintain confidentiality and follow all relevant policies for student privacy Participate in IEP (Individualized Education Program) meetings and contribute insights into student progress Embrace an environment where your expertise makes a difference every day.
