The ideal candidate will be skilled in facilitating effective communication between students who are deaf or hard of hearing and their peers, teachers, and school staff. Negotiable Qualifications & Certifications Candidates must hold appropriate credentials and approval to provide sign language interpreting services in Illinois.

Accepted qualifications include:

EIPA EIPA

score of 3.03.4 with Interim Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) Approval BE credentials with ISBE Approval ISAS credentials with ISBE Approval CI/CT credentials with ISBE Approval NIC credentials with

ISBE Approval Responsibilities:

Provide sign language interpretation to support student communication and access to instruction Facilitate communication between students, teachers, staff, and peers Interpret classroom instruction, discussions, activities, and school-related interactions Support an inclusive and accessible learning environment Maintain professionalism and confidentiality when working with students and school staff Collaborate with educational staff to support student communication needs Compensation for this position ranges from $23.39 to $53.39.
