Key Qualifications and Experience:

Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) Previous experience as a Sign Language Interpreter within educational settings Comfortable supporting students with hearing devices such as cochlear implants Ability to work 1:1 and collaborate effectively with teachers and support staff Certification as a Sign Language Interpreter (SLI) preferred or as required by state guidelines Compassionate, patient, and dedicated to student development

Responsibilities:

Facilitate communication between the student and staff, ensuring access to instruction and school activities Interpret classroom lessons, discussions, and assignments Support social interactions to promote inclusion within the peer group Adjust interpreting methods to match the students needs and environment Maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical standards at all times Imagine using your skills to empower a young learner each day, helping them achieve success in school and social interactions.
