Qualifications:
Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) and English Certification as an Educational Interpreter preferred (EIPA, NIC, or RID) Previous experience in a school setting is beneficial Strong communication and collaboration abilities Passion for fostering inclusive educational environments
Responsibilities:
Interpret spoken communication into ASL (and vice versa) for students and staff Support classroom participation for deaf and hard-of-hearing students Work closely with educators to ensure effective communication access Participate in educational team meetings and contribute insights on student needs Uphold confidentiality and ethical standards in all interactions
