What Youll Do:

Provide one-on-one interpreting services for a DHH student in a stimulating early childhood education environment Facilitate understanding between the student, educators, and peers, ensuring full participation in classroom activities Support the students educational goals by bridging communication between spoken English and American Sign Language (ASL) Employ flexibility and professionalism while adapting to classroom settings and individual student needs Maintain confidentiality, accuracy, and ethical standards at all times

Preferred Qualifications:

Demonstrated proficiency as a Sign Language Interpreter, preferably with experience in educational settings Credentialing that meets state or national certification for sign language interpretation (such as RID, EIPA, or recognized equivalent) Strong understanding of Deaf culture and the needs of young DHH learners Confidence collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of educators and specialists Excellent communication, adaptability, and interpersonal skills
