Job Description

Step into a rewarding contract role as a Sign Language Interpreter supporting a high school sophomore in a dynamic educational setting. Qualifications and Experience:
Valid Sign Language Interpreter certification/license for Kansas Proven experience working in an educational or school-based setting, preferably with high school students Proficient in American Sign Language (ASL) and familiar with interpreting in classroom environments Strong communication skills, professionalism, and ability to collaborate with teachers and staff Committed to confidentiality, accurate interpretation, and supporting student independence
Key Responsibilities:
Provide full-time sign language interpretation for a high school sophomore in general education classes Facilitate effective communication between the student, teachers, and peers Adapt interpretation methods as needed for various subjects and teaching styles Assist in fostering an inclusive classroom environment Support the students engagement, comprehension, and participation throughout the school day Maintain accurate records and follow all district and ethical interpreting standards
Position Details:
