Qualifications:
Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) Current certification as a Sign Language Interpreter (such as EIPA, RID, or state licensure) Previous experience interpreting in educational settings is preferred Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills Adaptability and a passion for supporting student learning
Responsibilities:
Accurately interpret spoken/written communication between students, staff, and educators using sign language Facilitate inclusion and equal access to classroom content and activities Support individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with hearing impairments Maintain confidentiality and act as a bridge for meaningful communication
