The role requires on-site presence at least four days a week, providing crucial educational access within our growing SAILS and STEPs programs. What You'll Bring:

Demonstrated SLI certification or equivalent credential 0-3 years of experience (early career candidates encouraged) Increased rate consideration for 4-6 years or 7+ years of direct interpreting experience Thorough knowledge of deaf culture and communication access needs in school settings Ability to interpret for students with little or no verbal communication, adapting sign language and interpreting strategies as needed Flexibility to work on-site at least four days per week (on-site or hybrid options available) Passion for fostering an inclusive, supportive learning environment

Your Responsibilities:

Deliver in-person or hybrid sign language interpreting for students and staff Support effective communication in classrooms, small groups, and evaluation settings Collaborate closely with teachers, SAILS, and STEPs program staff Adjust interpreting methods to meet individual student communication styles and needs Maintain precise, confidential records and promote student engagement
