Job Description

Become an IB Assessment Language Reviewer for Danish B (Diploma Programme) Join our team of IB Assessment LanguageReviewers (ALRs) and be part of shaping the future of education. An Assessment Language Reviewer is responsible for ensuring that the content of the final candidate-ready IB languageassessment is free from spelling and grammatical errors. An Assessment Language Reviewer may be asked to complete one of the following twotasks for a given set of examinations: Second Native Speaker -proofreads the question papers checking for spelling and grammatical errors in the final assessment and confirms that the authentic textsreproduced in the assessment match the original published texts. Reviser - ensures the final translated assessment materials are an accuratereflection of the final English assessment materials. The amount of work and time periods when work is required will vary eachyear and are dependent on which of the above tasks you are assigned. Fees are reviewed annually, and the current fees are disclosedbefore any work is commissioned.
You must:
Be a proficient in the language of the subject for which they areapplying. Applicants must have a degree or equivalent in the subject (or a related subject) for which they are applying. Haveproofreading experience. Have experience as a practitioner of the subject in the target culture. Have a detailed andup-to-date knowledge of the subject for which they are applying. Have the ability to communicate, read documents and write reportsin English. Be available at pre-arranged times throughout the year to fulfil commitments, attend meetings and respond to queries ina prompt manner. Have no perceived conflict of interest from involvement with schools or students taking this assessment. Pleaserefer to the Assessment IB Educator conflicts of interest policy. If successful, the applicant must relinquish any IB Workshopleader, Online Facilitator, Programme Field Representative, DP Advantage Coach or Building Quality Curriculum role that they currentlyundertake. If working at a school, at least one referee must be your Head of School, Deputy Head of School or, if an IB school, yourIB Coordinator. If recently retired or not currently working in education, at least one referee must be the Head of School, DeputyHead of School or IB coordinator of your last school. If working in a college or university, at least one referee must be in asenior position to you, such as a Head of Department. Family members, friends and current IB employees will not be considered asreferees. Applicants must have a bank account held in their own name. Payment to an Examiner will only be made into a bankaccount held in their name. Under no circumstances will payments be made to a third-party account, that is, an account held in the name of arelative, company/organization or other representative.
